Undersea Cables

This map views the world from below, placing Antarctica at its center. The point is to display the world's oceans in a projection that preserves their proportions as accurately as possible. 

A group of scientists, including the NSF, are looking at how to network Antarctic research stations. Currently, researches are limited by satellite provided connections that severely limit scope and communication. I am proud to say this map might get included in that effort.
