Undersea Cables

This map is looking at the world from below, putting Antarctica in the center--the point is to view the oceans of the world in a projection that conserves the proportions of the oceans in the best manner possible. 

A group of scientists, including the NSF are looking at how to network Antarctic research stations. Currently, researches are limited by satellite provided connections that severely limit scope and communication. I proud to say this map might get included in that effort.
